Ingredients

  • 1 kg Rhubarb
  • 2 dl Water
  • 200-300 g sugar

Instructions

  • Start by cutting off the root collar and top of the rhubarb and then peel the rhubarb.
  • Then cut the stems into smaller pieces - about 2 cm long pieces.
  • Put the stems in a pot and add the water.
  • Boil the stems in the water until they are completely cooked. This takes about 10 minutes.
  • When the stems are completely cooked, strain the liquid. This is done with a fine-mesh sieve and leave the mixture to stand for 4 hours or overnight.
  • When the liquid has been strained, pour it back into a pot and add the sugar - note! you should adjust the amount of sugar according to how sweet you want the juice.
  • When the sugar has completely boiled away, remove the juice and pour it into scalded bottles.
